Business Valuations

In a merger/acquisition transaction, various internal and external factors can influence the determination of the value of a company. Several aspects may be omitted or overstated by the seller or the buyer, so that the price offered or asked does not meet the expectations of either party. This can in some cases lengthen the negotiation period or jeopardize the transaction.

In order to avoid this type of situation for our clients, we offer them an appraisal service offered by our Chartered Business Valuators (CBV) in order to understand and defend the fair market value of their business. This will then serve as a reference during the subsequent negotiation process.

A professional business valuation is irremediably an indispensable element and a major asset for any successful transaction. Our approach based on a combination of practical expertise, financial techniques and market conditions allows us to determine the most appropriate valuation technique, optimizing and maximizing the value of the company.

Our experts operate in accordance with the guidelines and codes of ethics of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (ICEEE). All evaluations are carried out according to the evaluation standards of the institute.
